Preface

We are at a beginning of a novel uprising in terms of technology. This uprising has

started with economic revolution on the Internet and an alternative currency called

Bitcoin, which is dispensed and sponsored by a vital authority instead of being auto

mated in terms of achieving consensus amongst networked users due to its accu

rate uniqueness. Bitcoin and blockchain technology are a mode of decentralization,

which is the next key disrupting technology and worldwide computing paradigm

following the mainframe, personal computers and the Internet in addition to social

networking/mobile phones. Blockchain is an insurrection encouraging a new world

without any middlemen. Theoretically, it is an unchallengeable and tamper-proof

distributed ledger of all transactions across a peer-to-peer network. With this book,

you will get to grips with the blockchain network to build real-world projects. As you

make your way through the chapters, you will be able to understand the major chal

lenges that are associated with blockchain ecosystems, such as scalability, integra

tion and distributed file management. By the end of this book, the chapters address

common issues in the blockchain ecosystem. The primary authors in this book are

from the Middle East and North Africa, United Arab Emirates, India, Malaysia,

Qatar, Oman and Vietnam, and have covered both technical and local challenges

related to blockchain technology. The book targets the opportunity, challenges and

applications of blockchain technology and is a perfect platform for all experts in

research and the academic community.
